DEADWOOD STUDIOS
A sustainability-minded leather womenswear and menswear brand committed to using deadstock, recycled and plant-based materials.
Deadwood Studios is committed to 80% of all their materials being upcycled or recycled (aka fabrics that have already been produced and would otherwise go to waste) and the remaining 20% being materials with “undeniable environmental or ethical upsides” like cactus and mushroom leather.
All of their leather jackets are either 100% recycled leather, or 100% plant-based leather.
Essentially, they’re sustainable in that they’re using materials that either already exist and would go to waste, or plant-based leather alternatives that have minimal environmental impact.
One thing I would love to see from them is a carbon neutral (or carbon negative) supply chain and living wages to their makers.
